In an effort to more accurately represent the 6.3 million students of California, CASC has divided the state’s 58 counties into twelve regions. Each region typically has a president, vice president, and a region cabinet. The president and vice president are elected to their positions by schools in the region.
The structure of the regions is typically similar to the structure of the State Council. Besides a president and vice president, most regions have a development director, a public relations director, and conference directors. Since regional presidents are recognized as official members of the CASC State Council, there is a direct line of communication among the regions and with the state level.
Active regions with a regional cabinet have meetings and conferences within their area. If you would like more specific information regarding upcoming events locally, click on the section of the map that is appropriate to your location.
