Youth Action Summit of California (YASC)
YASC Conference Recap:
The 2013 YASC conference concluded on Sunday, March 17 with 150+ delegates in attendance; the largest delegation in the history of CASC! At the conference, delegates were able to network with international students from Turkey, Britain, Vietnam, and Korea. Furthermore, students had the opportunity to attend workshops from organizations such as Project Mosquito Net, the Alliance for Climate Education, Operation Christmas Child, and many more. By learning about a plethora of global issues, the delegates were able to formulate their own social action projects to share with their own community. In addition, students elected the new CASC State President and Vice President at the conference, which gave them a direct voice in the future of the organization. Thank you to all the delegates who attended YASC, and we hope to continue the YASC’s success with an even better conference next year!
