Our mission is to provide leadership development through peer training for California students and their advisors.
The California Association of Student Councils works to develop skilled, ethical, and empathetic leaders of diverse backgrounds and cultures to increase the global quality of life. CASC advocates for the youth, provides an avenue for the expression of student views, and empowers young people.
Through a combination of in-school and extracurricular programming, our courses emphasize authenticity, ethics, and collaborative decision-making to foster self-esteem and civic engagement.

Woodland Serves
Established a 6-month partnership with Woodland JUSD to train 300 student leaders and develop 20+ service projects. Launching summer 2026.

A student-developed bill to prohibit immigration activities on school campuses and protect student data. Adapted from CASC work and signed into law Fall 2025.

AB 2460 Testimony
In Summer 2026, CASC’s GAP Director testified in Sacramento on the student perspective of AB 2460 (regarding culturally competent care protocols) and its intersection with immigration enforcement activities.

Voter Registration Drives
In 2025, CASC Clubs partnered with New Voters to run 11 voter registration drives, registering more than 400 first-time voters statewide.

SB 1445 (2024)
A proposal to give student board members a voice in restorative justice hearings, developed by CASC students during our legislative conferences, was adapted into a state bill and became law.

Join us at one of our annual programs and become a CASC member automatically. Through a combination of small group work, speaker sessions, and structured activities, you will learn meeting and project planning skills and identify areas for change in your community.
