The Leadership Skills
The CASC curriculum includes various levels of leadership development. Middle school delegates and new high school delegates begin in Track One, which encompasses:
- personal development
- facilitative leadership behaviors
- team development
- planning projects in a team
- conflict resolution
- meeting skills
- personal goal setting and time management
- consensus decision making
- tools for strategic planning
Returning high school delegates move on to Track Two and then Track Three. Track Two builds on Track One's curriculum by:
- taking an introspective look at personal leadership style personal development
- exploring community service opportunities
- influencing others using effective presentation skills
- overcoming personal obstacles
- networking with community resources
Track three builds on the skills developed in Track Two and focuses on:
- global citizenship
- issues concerning youth
- advanced leadership skills
