Information for Advisors

Do you wish that the student council at your school functioned as a team? That students had the ability to not only create ideas for the improvement of their school, but to have the skills necessary to put those ideas into action? That your leadership class was inspired and passionate about their own education? That student government ran with effective communication and follow-through? And most importantly, that every student had the skills necessary to allow them to be the leaders that they are?

CASC’s summer camp can give you and your students the skills they need to make this happen!

Advisor Program
Working with an advisor group leader, the teachers meet daily to discuss best practices and current challenges on their campuses. They also learn new curriculum, share resources, and engage in structured experiences. At the high school camp, first time advisors are encouraged to join a student group to gain an understanding of the CASC curriculum and to form adult-teen relationships. Returning advisors meet in their own group with an adult leader or go on to Track II.

Student Program
Through a combination of general sessions, small groups led by a CASC trained staff member, exciting workshops, structured activities, and inspirational guest speakers, your students will walk away with the knowledge of leadership skills and curriculum, the passion to put those skills to use to transform their own high school campuses, and an experience they will never forget. You will walk away with students who have a better understanding of each other and their dynamic as a team, their own responsibility and potential to change their school, and the resources and methods available to help them do so.

Send your students to CASC, and CASC will send them back to you as student leaders. From their ability to work together as a team, to the manner in which they are able to reach a consensus during class meetings, you will notice the difference. And they will too! Summer camp is an opportunity to not only learn new skills, but to meet people from across the state of California facing similar challenges at their schools and to have a lot of fun in the process.

CASC summer camp can transform your school, as it has transformed hundreds of schools and thousands of students in years past. Hear from past participants
