Supervision: Can students attend YASC alone, or do they need a parent or advisor?
Students are more than welcome to attend alone. CASC’s student and adult staff will be supervising at all times. Adults are welcome to participate in the YASC experience and go through the advisor track along with other adults
Where/when is YASC?
YASC will be held from March 10-12, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Los Angeles Airport, located at 9901 La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, US, 90045.
How much does YASC cost?
The YASC registration fee includes everything — your hotel room, meals, and the conference. See the registration form for the costs. CASC offers scholarships to ensure that everyone is able to attend, so get in touch for more info.
Transportation: How do I get to YASC?
Participants are expected to arrange their own transportation to the hotel. For participants flying in from Southern California, the hotel is located just one mile south of the San Francisco International Airport. Southwest usually offers the cheapest tickets.
What should I wear? What should I bring? When should I arrive?
Once you register for YASC, you will receive a confirmation letter with all these details. Contact the CASC office at 510.834.2272 or cascmail@aol.com for more information.
Can I leave the hotel during the conference?
No, you can not leave the conference site during any portion of the conference unless we are doing an outside activity.
Does the registration fee include meals and lodging?
Yes. Students will be housed with three or four roommates of the same age and gender. Advisors will room individually.
