Details and Q&A
“What Is This Conference Like?”
CASC believes in the power of students teaching students and positive peer influence. Therefore, a lot of your time will be spent in council meetings with approximately ten other students from around the state who are led by a trained CASC staff member–a person who is very close to your own age. In councils, you will get to know each other, and learn essential communication techniques. The rest of your time will be spent in exciting general sessions, workshops, role seminars, school meetings, and recreation. The schedule is jam-packed with fun-filled activities, so be prepared to go full speed from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day. Expect to open up, meet new people, and try some new things! If you come by yourself, you won’t be alone for long—that’s a guarantee!
“What Should I Bring With Me?”
Good question! Here’s a list to get you started. Please…please label everything that you bring.
Necessities
Money
You may also want to bring spending money; both the CASC store and the university stores will be open. With your parent’s permission, your key deposit check can be applied to CASC store purchases. The CASC sweatshirt will be available for $45.00, the Digital Scrapbook for $10.00, and the camp picture for $10.00. The combined package of the camp picture and Digital Scrapbook will be $15.00.
Early Arrivals (one day early)
Early arrival is made possible so that those coming from long distances can arrive on time for registration.
We ask that early arrivals check into the dormitory no earlier than 9:00 p.m. on the day before camp is scheduled. We have limited space available at a cost of $38.00 per person (does not include meal service). Pre-payment and advance registration is mandatory for early arrival registrants.
